Community Guidelines
Our social media channels celebrate our learners and promote learning software development in the age of AI.
To keep our community safe, respectful, and uplifting, please follow these guidelines when engaging with us:
Engage with Respect
We showcase real people and their Dev Academy stories. Please keep comments kind, constructive, and respectful.
We don't tolerate abusive, harassing, or trolling comments on our ads or posts. This includes:
Personal attacks, insults, or harassment directed at students, staff, or other commenters
Hate speech or discriminatory remarks
Spam or unrelated promotional content
Deliberate pile-ons or brigading against someone featured in a post
Comments that breach this will be removed at our discretion. We don't owe an explanation to the commenter, and we don't need to warn first.
Criticism of the programme, the price, or your experience isn't covered by this, however direct. Fair feedback will always be left up.
Protect People’s Privacy
Our channels are public. Please don’t share personal, confidential, or sensitive information about yourself or anyone else.
If you're featured in one of our posts, as a student, staff member, or in a testimonial, and want it pulled, comments restricted, or identifying details removed, you can ask at any time, no reason needed. Contact rohan.wakefield@devacademy.co.nz and we'll action it promptly.
Users who breach these community guidelines may have their comments hidden, deleted and in the case of repeat or serious offences, a ban may be applied. Banned users may request the ban is lifted after six months by contacting us via email. If the ban is lifted and the user continues to breach our guidelines, then a ban will be applied indefinitely.
